Case Filed Against Former BJP MLA and Dismissed Cop Over Alleged Sexual Assault

A case has been registered at Padgha Police Station in Maharashtra based on a complaint by a 22-year-old married woman, who alleged that she was forcibly made to consume alcohol and sexually assaulted after being threatened with a weapon. The complaint names former BJP MLA Narendra Pawar and dismissed police employee Shailesh Patil. Police are investigating the allegations.

According to the complaint, the woman approached Narendra Pawar seeking help to resolve a dispute with her husband. She alleged that Pawar called her to his office in Kalyan on September 13, promising to help settle the issue. She further alleged that Pawar and Shailesh Patil then took her to a farmhouse in Bapgaon, in Bhiwandi taluka.

The woman alleged that Patil threatened her with a weapon and forced her to consume alcohol at the farmhouse. She further alleged that Pawar sexually assaulted her, followed by Patil after Pawar left the location. According to her complaint, she was dropped near her home around 4 a.m. by Patil’s caretaker. On September 16, she reportedly approached Congress corporator Kanchan Kulkarni and showed her videos and WhatsApp chats before going to Padgha Police Station to file the complaint. Police are conducting further investigation into the allegations.
