Centre Reduces Export Duty on Petrol, Diesel and ATF

The Central government has announced a reduction in export duties on key petroleum products. The Union Finance Ministry issued an official notification revising the export duty rates on petrol, diesel and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).

Compared with the rates that came into effect on September 1, the revised rates have been reduced by ₹1 per litre for petrol, ₹5 per litre for diesel and ₹4 per litre for ATF. The changes are part of the government’s latest revision of export duties on fuel products.

The new rates came into effect from September 16 and will remain applicable for the next two weeks. The revised duties are expected to apply to fuel exports during this period, subject to any further changes announced by the government.
