High Court Gave No “Clean Chit” on Kaleshwaram: MP Chamala Slams BRS Leaders’ Celebrations

MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has launched a sharp attack on BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao for celebrating the recent High Court verdict regarding the Kaleshwaram project. He clarified that the court has not given a “clean chit” to anyone involved. Chamala criticized former CM KCR, alleging that the project was built solely to boost his personal brand while wasting Telangana’s public funds. He demanded an explanation as to why a project of such magnitude began sinking within just two years of completion.

Explaining the legal context, the MP noted that the High Court did not find fault with the establishment of the Justice PC Ghosh Commission itself. Instead, the court’s primary objection was related to the procedure of calling individuals for inquiry without following proper notice protocols. He called the BRS leaders’ celebrations “ridiculous” and argued that procedural observations do not equate to an acquittal from the underlying corruption allegations.

Furthermore, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy questioned the silence of BJP leaders who had previously promised swift action on the project’s irregularities. He alleged a “secret pact” between the BJP and BRS, which he claims is stalling a thorough CBI investigation. Warning that those responsible for the poor quality of construction at Medigadda—the “heart” of the project—would not be spared, he accused BRS leaders of trying to deceive the public again with emotional rhetoric.
