Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar strongly reacted to rumors claiming he is floating a new political party or being dismissed from the Central Cabinet. Speaking to the media at the BJP state office in Hyderabad alongside party MLAs and senior leaders, he questioned if anyone could cite a single instance where a father directly handed over his son to the authorities. Sanjay emphasized that as soon as allegations surfaced against his son, Bandi Bhageerath, in the POCSO case, he truthfully and responsibly ensured his son was handed over to the police for investigation rather than using his political power to shield him.
Slamming the ongoing social media campaigns against him, Bandi Sanjay dismissed the rumors as baseless propaganda engineered by political rivals. He stated that the people of Telangana and dedicated party workers know exactly what the BJP and Bandi Sanjay stand for. Getting emotional about his allegiance to the party, he mentioned that if you ask any committed BJP worker their last wish before execution, they would ask to be draped in the saffron flag, adding that his final wish remains the same. He declared that the party has built a robust cadre through internal training camps, and they do not need to validate cheap, fabricated political narratives.
Launching a sharp satirical attack on BRS leaders KCR and KTR, Sanjay mocked the narrative that his cabinet position was in jeopardy. He joked that some people talk as if BRS has 17 MPs supporting the NDA government at the Center, and perhaps KCR and his son KTR were the ones who took the decision to remove him from the cabinet. He alleged that certain media outlets and social media handles are churning out fake stories greedily eyeing the money thrown by KTR, who is deriving sadistic pleasure from this misinformation. Sanjay asserted that the BRS leadership is targeting him out of vengeance because he broke their decade-long aristocratic rule and exposed their corruption, adding that the public is simply laughing at their ‘fake media factory.’
