Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu addressed the ‘Swarnandhra Swachhandra’ programme in Gudivada, Krishna district, where he said the initiative has become a meaningful tradition for him over the past one and a half years. Recalling the legacy of N.T. Rama Rao, he said the Telugu Desam Party has been following the path shown by its founder for the last four decades. Chandrababu also stated that his vision is to see the Telugu community emerge as the best in the world and thanked the people for the recognition they have given him.
Speaking about Amaravati, the Chief Minister said the capital belongs to the people and described it as a city that represents the aspirations of Andhra Pradesh. He recalled being inspired by a young boy who donated his savings for the construction of Amaravati and expressed confidence that the city would be developed into a world-class capital.
Chandrababu also made a key announcement on the Polavaram Project, stating that it would be completed and dedicated to the nation by March 2027. He said the government is committed to eliminating drought through river interlinking projects from Vamsadhara to Penna. Recalling the construction of the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme, he said it had helped protect the Krishna Delta even during years of low rainfall and inadequate water availability.
