Avika Gor, who won the hearts of television audiences with her iconic role as Anandi in Balika Vadhu, has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai after falling ill. The actress had been suffering from a high fever of around 104°F for nearly five days and was later diagnosed with dengue. Despite her severe condition, Avika reportedly continued working and completed her professional commitments. Her husband, Milind Chandwani, shared a video on social media on Friday night, revealing details about her health and praising her dedication to work.
According to Milind, Avika did not stop working despite suffering from a high fever for several days. She reportedly continued with previously committed shoots because she did not want producers to suffer financial losses or other people’s time to be wasted. After completing her shooting commitments, she even travelled to Delhi for an advertisement shoot. However, as her fever and weakness worsened, she underwent dengue testing, which came back positive. She was subsequently admitted to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
Interestingly, Avika’s latest music album Bukhaar, which means “fever” in Hindi, was released on the same day she was hospitalised with dengue. Avika also shared the song’s release from her hospital bed, posing with a victory sign. She expressed concern about her platelet count and described her dengue condition as severe. Avika gained nationwide recognition as a child artist through Balika Vadhu and later appeared in shows such as Sasural Simar Ka. She has also worked in Telugu and Hindi films. Fans are now wishing the actress a speedy recovery and hoping to see her return to shooting soon.
