Social activist Anna Hazare has been hospitalised in Mumbai after his health condition deteriorated. He was initially admitted to a local hospital in his native village, Ralegan Siddhi, but was later shifted to Mumbai for advanced medical care as his condition became serious. He is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU and is reportedly suffering from a severe viral infection.
Doctors said that Anna Hazare has also experienced severe dehydration along with the viral infection. His health has weakened due to illness and old age, prompting the decision to move him to a Mumbai hospital for better treatment. He is currently under the supervision of infectious disease specialist Dr. Gautam Bhansali.
A team of doctors at the Mumbai hospital is conducting detailed medical examinations to assess his condition and determine the appropriate course of treatment. Anna Hazare is being kept under continuous observation in the ICU, hospital sources said. An official health bulletin regarding his condition is expected to be released.
