Cyber Fraudsters Use Tamil Nadu CM Vijay’s Name to Cheat Madhya Pradesh Residents

Cyber criminals have devised a new method to deceive innocent people by misusing the name of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay. A fraud gang in Madhya Pradesh allegedly claimed to be senior officials of a large charitable trust supposedly owned by Vijay. Promising financial assistance and self-employment loans through the trust, the gang reportedly cheated people of lakhs of rupees.

The fraudsters approached residents of Madhya Pradesh directly through social media platforms. They particularly targeted unemployed individuals and small business owners, offering them lakhs of rupees in employment loans and free financial assistance through various non-government schemes.

After gaining the victims’ trust with these false promises, the scammers allegedly collected money from them on various pretexts. The incident has raised concerns over the misuse of public figures’ names on social media to carry out cyber fraud. Authorities are expected to investigate the network and identify those involved in the scam.
